Getting rid of tinnitus

Hi. I've had tinnitus for around four years now after going to an indoors rock-concert. I didn't bring any earplugs with me back then, and to make a long story short, I've got tinnitus ever since that day.

I've used eft for over a year now (I've watched almost all the videos on Robert's youtube-channel) and during this time I've gained more personal control, higher self-esteem and got rid of lots of old, painful memories (the bad emotions). The tinnitus however, is still there.

My tinnitus is not causing much discomfort at all, and at times I don't notice it. It makes a tiny but everlasting noise, and after listening to music (not too loud), it's getting a tad louder. Some days I have to concentrate to even notice my tinnitus, so it's not compromising the joy of everyday life.

It would be great though if I somehow got rid of it once and for all, but I haven't succeeded yet.

Any suggestions? I have googled a lot regarding tinnitus and eft combined, but it seems like it's not possible for the body to cure the tinnitus completely with energy therapy.

Trauma expert Robert Scaer says that tinnitus is often unresolved trauma.  I'd suggest having a think about any unresolved emotional issues that might have been going on around the time of the concert and clearing them.  And also working on any past traumas that had any association with loud noise (car accidents, people yelling etc).  It's possible that the concert triggered some previous unresolved issues.  Dr Scaer says that once the earlier unresolved trauma is resolved, the tinnitus stops.  Certainly worth trying!  Happy tapping.

Thanks for the reply Jo Smile

If my case of tinnitus is unresolved trauma I may still have some memories to pass through. I have tried to tap when listening to music and afterwards but it seems like that's not enough for getting the everlasting sound away. It is sometimes hard to remember specifics in unresolved trauma; I'm just hoping that I will soon find the "responsible" memory on my ongoing quest.

I must admit that it is hard to find memories that includes loud noise other than that particular concert. I can't remember having soar ears after incidents before the concert.

You don't have to remember any other trauma because the concert is the key to solve your problem. Tinnitus has emotional roots. You can read about them on the Biodecoding of Illness blog – http://biogenealogy.blogspot.c.....nitus.html

You can read there a full explanation of the emotional cause of tinnitus and how to get rid of it with EFT or any other modality.

Hmm, maybe listening to music while bumping the volume up a notch may do the trick. If I turn the volume just as high as it becomes uncomfortable to listen to, I somehow might trigger the same "trauma experience" as I had on the rock concert (and try to "tap it away"). Or does that sound like a bad idea?

Ookie, sounds like a very good idea. Try it.

Do you remember any feeling that you had during the concert? Being overwhelmed? Huge crowd might have triggered some reactions.

These all sound like great ways to bring out the truth of why the tinnitus is so stubborn.

Since I have made significant changes in so- called chronic physical problems

by using eft, I thought I would add my two cents here.

Tap on the fear about tinnitus not going away.

I believe that unconscious fear is the target.

Meta asked about your memories of any feelings you had at the event.

start there and be confident- the answer will rise up into your consciousness

and then tap.

Dr.Scaer's work is very informative.  And since the tinnitus' vibration is a finer, higher frequency,

it makes sense that it is a very personal conflict. Just keep focusing and allow yourself to feel safe

about letting it go.

be relentless

"tap until you fall asleep" good advice.

Keep going.

I have tinnitus.. I've always been sensitive to noise. I was at a seminar in March and found out 2 other woman had it. They both loved it,  thought was Angels talking to them. I walked away and thought their both nuts! yes I do hear spirits - however when they speak it's not this high pitch crap.. Then I found Faster EFT  - I saw where Robert brought out Louise Hays book .  So I tap on what said   "not listening to your inner guidance". It went away - when I woke the next day it was still gone. Then came back..

Robert Scaer says that tinnitus is often unresolved trauma- hmmmm

I will play with this.

Tinnitus is a simple issue to cure as long as you know what is the emotional cause.

Here it is:

Conflict content : Hearing-conflict - not wanting to hear something.

In the conflict phase we find a functional reduction and a loss of the ability to hear certain
frequencies. This appears through a tinnitus (roaring, buzzing, ringing, whistling in the
ear).

In the regeneration phase the function recovers slowly. The symptoms are an acute
hearing loss, and an edema in the internal ear and in the cerebral hearing centre for
these specific frequencies.

The biological meaning lies in the conflict phase. We don't want to hear the unpleasant
thing; but in case the situation repeats, we are being warned = tinnitus.

For more info on how to adress this issue and get rid of it permanently just ask me a question.

Have a great day.
