How To Heal Back Pain using FasterEFT Tapping

Back pain is probably one of the most common health problems facing people today.

Almost 31 million Americans suffer from this debilitating problem, and it’s the No. 1 cause of disability today.

How much money have you spent on trying to deal with your back pain throughout the years?

Well, to put things into perspective, Americans spend approximately $90 billion a year on back pain.

And, back pain is also the leading cause of the opioid epidemic that is plaguing American society today.

Here are a few interesting facts reported by the American Chiropractic Association:

A few interesting facts about back pain:

  • Low back pain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide, according to the Global Burden of Disease 2010.

  • Back pain is one of the most common reasons for missed work.  In fact, back pain is the second most common reason for visits to the doctor’s office, outnumbered only by upper-respiratory infections.

  • One-half of all working Americans admit to having back pain symptoms each year.

  • Experts estimate that as much as 80% of the population will experience a back problem at some time in their lives.

  • Most cases of back pain are mechanical or non-organic—meaning they are not caused by serious conditions, such as inflammatory arthritis, infection, fracture or cancer.

  • Americans spend at least $50 billion each year on back pain—and that’s just for the more easily identified costs.

You may have found relief going to your chiropractor, physical therapist, GP, but it’s important to realize that if your back pain keeps coming back, it may be symptomatic of something else.

Many people do not like being told that their physical pain is the caused by some emotional trauma.

According to an article published in Harvard Health Blog:

Even when you have low back pain that is being medically treated, it helps to understand the psychological factors that impact your pain — and your brain. It also helps to know what you can do about this.

When your physical movement is limited, this can cause psychological distress, and the psychological distress can, in return, worsen the pain. Your personal health beliefs and coping strategies can influence both your level of distress and course of the pain. For instance, if you are anxiety-prone, expect the worst, and have catastrophic thinking, this can make the pain far worse. That’s because those psychological vulnerabilities can change your brain and intensify the pain.

Often, if you have these pre-existing psychological attitudes, you also have abnormalities in the regulation of your brain’s chemistry (particularly dopamine), and the usual brain functions in emotional control, anxiety, and attention are also disrupted. As a result, you can’t control your distress; your become anxious; you expect the worst; and you can’t focus on anything else. The pain becomes all-consuming.

But it’s not just pre-existing attitudes that worsen back pain. The pain itself can rewire your brain. When pain first occurs, it impacts your pain-sensitivity brain circuits. But when pain lasts, the related brain activity switches away from the “pain” circuits to circuits that process emotions. That’s why emotions like anxiety often take center stage in chronic back pain. And it’s why emotional control becomes that much more difficult.

Back Pain – Are You Making It Up?

Robert explains what pain – whether in your back or anywhere else, actually is:

Pain is “discomfort” and depending on the severity, it can be incapacitating.

But what is the true nature of pain?

For example, whenever you get injured, it can be very painful and the obvious thing to do is, either apply some medication on it, or ask the help of your physician in treating the wound.

The medical intervention will be focused NOT on the pain itself, but in the healing of the damaged tissues/bones/muscles.

And if you’re in a lot of pain, you will be prescribed pain killers or other medications to help ease the discomfort.

Again the focus will be either to stop the bleeding through sutures, or through the application of topical medication to speed up the healing process and prevent infection.

What Doctors Think About FasterEFT

The Psychological Cause of Pain

There is a huge debate about the emotional reasons that cause back pain.

More often than not, people who experience chronic pain are thought to exaggerate their symptoms, or worse, thought to be making up the pain.

Ask anyone suffering from chronic pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, and they wish they could make it up, rather than spend thousands of dollars trying to heal the pain.

The biggest challenge in diagnosing the real cause of pain, is that it typically resides within the deeper levels of consciousness.

In rare occasions, there are anatomical problems that are undetectable through tests and medical laboratory analysis.

The body’s pain generators and pain levels are difficult to understand, as they vary from one individual to another regardless of gender, ethnicity or age.

That’s why FasterEFT  is so effective when it comes to dealing with pain.

But we’ll talk more about this later.

In working with thousands of people with pain, we’ve come to understand that pain cannot exist without a mental source.

When you feel an intense emotion, such as anger, joy, hatred, fear, anxiety, shock etc. it immediately becomes trapped in the body.

That’s how memories are created.

An event happens that you witness, it causes an intense emotion of joy, and that causes that event to become a memory you look back on with fondness.

For example, the day you got engaged, the birth of your child, your graduation, the day you received your first paycheck, the day you bought your first car, the day you opened your first business etc.

Let’s break it down:

Emotional health depends on your memories

The subconscious is not capable of logic or reason; and it creates these structures based on experiences – connected by emotions – rather than on reason or logic.

We get a lot of questions about how FasterEFT and Memories work.

You can be tapping all day long, but it won’t change anything if you are not targeting specific memories.

How do you know you have a problem?

By looking at your current circumstances.

Whether you’re in debt, suffering from back pain, anxiety, depression, going through a loss or suffering from guilt – the root cause is all the same; your memories.

Change your memory, and your present circumstances change as well.

The problem is, there are so many memories, which ones do you choose from?

How do you know which memory to start working on?

There is a simple, organized method for addressing all of the memories that are relevant to your current challenge – and using this method will mean that you may not even need to address some of these memories since they may have flipped before you even get to them.

Back Pain and Memories: The structure of memories

The techniques used in the FasterEFT-Eutaptics and memories training aim to de-mystify what memories are, how they are formed and how you can re-write them to remove the source of the pain.

Whatever your problem may be right now, it’s only the effect.

The cause is a part of a deep and complex structure buried within your subconscious mind.

It’s like the foundation of a building, it supports the entire structure built above it.

Your memories are the foundation, and your life experiences are the building built upon it.

It’s important to remember that the subconscious is not capable of logic or reasoning; it just stores all the information it gets through our senses as facts.

It then creates the structures of problem based on experiences – connected by feelings – rather than on reason or logic.

“Can Letting Go of Things in My Past Really Heal Physical Pain?”

A client who was experiencing back pain was doubtful that letting go of past experiences could heal her back pain since the pain was physical and very real.

The Brain is the Body and the Body is the Brain

The brain stores the trauma from experiences in the body.

You could test that right now: Think of something that bothers you, and notice how you know it bothers you – you will feel some kind of sensation in your body.

You know it bothers you because you feel it in your stomach, or your neck, or your back, or your chest, or anywhere else in your body.

When you change the record that is stored in the brain, it will automatically result in a change in the way your body feels.

This client cleaned houses for a living; and although the pain in her back was present even when she wasn’t cleaning, the actions of mopping and sweeping made the pain worse.

She wore a back brace while she worked in order to try to relieve some of the pressure, and had also been seeing a chiropractor and doing exercises to try to reduce the pain.

Before Robert tapped on her, her pain was at a level of 7 out of 10.

Aiming

Robert asked the client to notice how the pain felt –whether it was a sharp pain, a dull pain or pressure; and she clarified that it was a dull, steady pain that she could feel right across her lower back.

Robert asked the client to remember the first time she felt the pain, and she remembered waking up in the morning, feeling it.

Tapping

Robert tapped on letting go of the helpless feelings and feelings of no control; the feelings that no-one supports her; needing support; emotional hurts and financial stress – releasing and letting it all go.

The Emotional Link

After a few rounds of tapping, the pain had reduced to a level 2, and the client realized that she was carrying guilt for being angry with her mother.

Robert asked her to notice the feeling of the guilt (aiming) and then tapped out those feelings, and the back pain disappeared.

If pain was purely physical, it would not change, regardless of changes in emotions, thoughts and tapping.

The brain stores emotions in the body.

This client had been carrying her feelings of guilt in her lower back; and when those emotions were released, the brain no longer triggered the pain in her back.

Notice that she did not need to know the emotional cause of the pain – she was initially aiming at the feeling of the pain itself; and as the tapping continued, her subconscious accessed the records it held that were connected to that pain.

As a result, the realization of the guilt came to her automatically.
