Helen Starr Cummins had a “life long debilitating phobia of swimming in water” until she found FasterEFT and started using it.
She is a “highly trained holistic oncology nurse” and is always on the lookout for trainings that will complement her profession.
Her experience with FasterEFT trainings has opened up a whole new world of healing.
She says,
“… duty of care is something I look for in these wide range of trainings available and is very present in my recent experience during the Faster EFT training in Athens while still taking full ownership and responsibility for your own health and well being at all times.”
What is phobia of swimming?
A phobia of swimming or water (Aquaphobia) is an irrational fear of water.
People suffering from phobia of swimming experience tremendous amounts of irrational stress, anxiety and fear near large bodies of water, such as oceans, swimming pools, bathtubs – even though they pose no imminent physical threat.
What Causes Phobias
Phobias are the result of a connection in the brain that relates the feared object to the body’s fight, freeze or flight response.
Helen says,
“My lifelong dental phobia has cleared and I sit in the chair chatting and asking questions rather than being in freeze mode or fight/ flight mode and creating all sorts of unhealthy physiological bodily responses inducing a toxic chemical overload that the body is left to deal with.”
The fact that there is no logical reason for Helen’s fear of dentists’ or phobia of swimming, has no effect on the fear itself since the state of fear is biological rather than through logic or reasoning.
The brain has been programmed to signal the organs of the body to trigger the emergency stress response.
This means that the body goes into exactly the same state it would if Helen was in physical danger of being attacked by a wild animal.
There are many different possibilities as to the exact circumstances that resulted in her phobia of swimming; and many people with phobias are unaware of the original cause.
It could be as simple as a baby in a relaxed state staring at a fish bowl – and a door slams.
The response of the body at that moment could cause the brain to connect the fight, freeze or flight state with the fish bowl the baby was focused on at the time.
This could result in the brain continuing to trigger the fight or flight response whenever that person sees a fish, water, fish bowl or any combination of the three.
With more common phobias, the connection can be caused by stories, dreams, frightening experiences, practical jokes, threats and a wide range of other possibilities.
Fortunately, you do not need to know the original cause in order to cure the phobia.

Using FasterEFT you will be able to allow your subconscious to do the work for you.
Just like Helen’s subconscious worked for her to defeat her phobia of swimming.
She says,
“The secret for me is I did exactly what Robert Smith said to do for the week and I never do what people say to do until I figure it out for myself first. So having done that I followed his lead and got on with the job in hand guided and fully supported by Robert & his FasterEFT team of experts and with well guided follow up to date.”
FasterEFT Process for Clearing Phobia of Water
Step #1
Go back to your earliest memory of feeling afraid of the water.
Approximately how old were you?
What happened?
Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and go back to that moment.
See what you saw, hear what you heard, feel what you felt.
Notice how you feel.
Notice where in your body you feel the phobia and how strong it is.
Step #2
Using two fingers, gently tap the following meridian points shown in the illustration below, focusing on the feeling of your fingers on your skin and saying the following phrases.
– Between your eyebrows – I release and let this go now
– Beside your eye – It’s okay to let it go now
– Under your eye – I don’t need it anymore, and it’s safe to let it go now
– Just below your collarbone – That’s right, just let it all go; and I’m safe as I’m letting it go now
Step #3
Grab your wrist, take a deep breath, blow it out, and say “Peace”.
Go to a peaceful memory and enjoy the feeling of that for a moment.
Step #4
Now, think about swimming again; and notice what’s different.
Notice if the fear has changed in any way.
Notice any sensations in your body.
Just notice what’s still there.
Step #5
Go back and repeat Steps #2 through #4 until the phobia has completely gone.
Helen says,
“I can safely say I am highly impressed and totally inspired by the successes and achievements I have experienced from the Transformation weekend And the New FasterEFT level 1 training in Athens.”

She goes on to say,
“I have been on this personal development path for 7 years now and have experienced a plethora of different modalities along the way and this has been my finest experience to date. My life long debilitating phobia of swimming in water out of my depth is gone and I can’t get enough of the water now.”
The key to success, like Helen says, is to keep going and tapping on all your fears.
Whether you’ve got a phobia of swimming, flying, dentists, spiders – whatever it is, you can overcome it by being persistent.
Just like Helen did, she kept using FasterEFT on her fears until she overcame them!
At the first sign of fear, repeat Steps #2 through #4 each time you feel any fear at all.
This is how you will clean it up completely.
It’s important to make sure that you keep using FasterEFT tapping until there is no trace of phobia at all, no matter how much you try to make it come back by thinking about the thing you used to fear.
